Sports Day!
The Junior Group of Spanish and French students was delighted to participate in Foyle’s Sports Day at Brooke Park. Our strong and powerful teams overcame the rain and wind, to compete against each other for the title of the best team. The activities enjoyed the most by students were “The Gladiator” and “Sumo”. The boys particularly liked football and made lots of noise. In “The Gladiator”, two students had to compete against each other while standing on a wobbly post and being pushed by one another with sponge poles; the person who falls first – loses. In “Sumo” the students got dressed in hilarious costumes and had to push each other, like in the normal game of Sumo. At the end, the team “Doire” has won the games and were given gold medals. The students loved it!
